Miya’s Story

When we first met this sweet young girl back in 2012. She was only 14 years old at the time and battling breast cancer.

Miya was so SWEET and ALWAYS smiling! I remember sitting at her kitchen table and meeting her and then asking what she wanted for her dream. Being so shy with her low sweet voice, I heard Saint's. I said OKAY! Well, this little girl LOVED the New Orleans Saints and never missed a game on television, so she wanted a big screen television to watch all the games on. She got her television and she also got to MEET the Saint's; they opened all the doors for her.

Unfortunately, her cancer got worse and while in the hospital, I had told her she had money left over. She asked her mom if DCT (Dreams Come True) could make a littler flower garden for her. We called a few DCT Clay Shooters and looked at the picture. They started on April 5th and the garden was completed on April 7th, which was Miya's 15th birthday. We so believe in miracles and there were miracles with Miya on earth and after God called her home on May 15, 2013.
